Which bounce house fits your party?

Two taps. No email, no phone number, no catch.

Step 1 — Who's doing the jumping?

Step 2 — Where are we setting up?

Go with an open bouncer — skip the slide

Under about 6, a slide mostly creates a queue and a climb. An open jump area keeps everyone bouncing at once. Most standard bounce houses are built for around 5 to 6 kids of similar size at a time.

Grassy backyard: we anchor with stakes, so mark any sprinkler heads or underground lines before we arrive. Mow no later than the day before, and clear pet waste and toys from the setup area.

Driveway or concrete: doable in a lot of cases, but it changes how we anchor. Tell us at booking that there's no grass so we bring the right setup.

Park, school, or church lot: tell us which one when you book. Public sites in and around Crown Point have their own permit rules, and you'll need a plan for power — we need one standard outlet within 50 feet.

Give them something to climb

Seven-and-up burns out on a plain bounce in about twenty minutes. A slide or a themed unit holds them for the whole party. Both of these work for this age.

Run two attractions, not one big one

With a wide age range, one inflatable turns into a bottleneck and the little ones get bounced around by the big ones. A large combo plus a game splits the crowd and keeps the teenagers and adults busy too.

Your Crown Point setup checklist

Seven things to have sorted before our trailer pulls into your driveway. Get these right and setup takes minutes.

0 of 7 done

  • Measure the setup areaCheck the space listed on the product page against your yard. We can't be responsible for a unit that doesn't fit once we arrive.
  • Mow the day before, not the morning ofFresh clippings stick to vinyl and end up inside the bounce house with the kids.
  • Clean up after the dogWe ask for this every time, and every time somebody is glad we did.
  • Find an outlet within 50 feetOne standard household outlet runs most bounce houses, and the blower stays running the whole time it's in use.
  • Mark your sprinklers and buried linesInflatables get staked into the ground. If we don't know where the lines are, we can't avoid them.
  • Clear a path to the setup spotGates unlocked, toys and patio furniture moved, low branches noted. Rolled-up inflatables are heavy and wide.
  • Have the balance readyCash or check, handed over at setup. That's the last thing on the list.

Planning a party at a Crown Point park?

Every park needs the same two things sorted before we can set up: permission from whoever runs it, and power within 50 feet — which usually means a generator, since most shelters don't have an outlet you can use.

Tap a park for what you'll need to arrange.

Bulldog Park 183 S. West St, Crown Point

The big one downtown — open-air pavilion, amphitheater, community rooms and a summer splash pad. Pavilion and amphitheater bookings go through the city's PACE department, so start there and tell them you're bringing an inflatable. Parking and access are easy, which makes load-in quick for us.

Sauerman Woods Park 1000 E. South St, Crown Point

Shelter plus sand volleyball courts, and a regular for bigger kid parties and team gatherings. Shelter use is arranged through Crown Point Parks and Recreation. Check where the shelter sits relative to open grass so there's a clear, level patch for the unit.

Lemon Lake County Park 6322 W. 133rd Ave, Crown Point

Run by Lake County Parks rather than the city, so it has its own shelter booking process and its own rules — worth calling early, because the shelters here go fast in summer. Plenty of open space once you're booked.

Rohrman Park and the Crown Point Sportsplex Crown Point

Popular for team parties and end-of-season gatherings, where a bounce house or a game usually goes alongside a field booking. Confirm field and shelter availability first, then tell us where you want the unit relative to the diamonds.

Tell us which park when you book and we'll walk you through what they'll want from us.

Who you're actually renting from

We started this because our own rental was a letdown

Nine years ago we rented a bounce house for a Fourth of July party. The communication was poor and the service was worse. So we bought our own inflatable, then bought a small local rental company that was closing — a trailer, a phone number, and a handful of units.

That's Bouncy B's. The name comes from our three kids: Brayden, Bryce and Briella — they're the ones in the logo. Ray, Meghan and the kids are still the people answering the phone and pulling into your driveway.

What to add to the bounce house

Add any of these to the same order and they arrive on the same trailer, on the same delivery fee. Here's what each one actually solves.

Questions from Crown Point parents

Tap any question to open it.

How much does it cost to rent a bounce house in Crown Point?

Standard bounce houses start at $160. Combo units with a slide run from $247.20 up to $360.50 depending on size. Delivery is quoted separately against your Crown Point address at checkout, so you see it before you pay anything.

How far in advance should I book for a Crown Point party?

As early as you can. Popular weekends, holidays and graduation season fill up quickly here, and the earlier you reserve the more of the catalog you get to choose from.

How many kids fit in a bounce house at once?

Most standard bounce houses are designed for roughly 5 to 6 children of similar size at a time. Exact occupancy is listed on each rental page, and kids of similar age and size should bounce together.

Can we set up at a Crown Point park like Bulldog Park or Sauerman Woods?

Usually, with two things in place. First, permission from whoever runs the park — city parks such as Bulldog Park and Sauerman Woods go through Crown Point Parks and Recreation, while Lemon Lake County Park is run by Lake County Parks. Second, power: most park shelters don't have an outlet you can use, so you'll normally need a generator. Tell us the park when you book and we'll talk you through it.

What happens if it rains on my event day?

Safety comes first. If severe weather is expected we may recommend postponing, and rescheduling options may be available. For inflatables we ask for at least 24 hours' notice on a weather-related reschedule, so call or text us as soon as the forecast turns.

Can you set up on a driveway instead of grass?

Concrete and pavement work in many cases, but it changes how we anchor, so tell us during booking if there's no grass at your setup spot.

Does a bounce house need electricity?

Yes. Most bounce houses run on one standard household outlet within 50 feet of the setup area, and the blower needs to stay running the whole time the unit is in use.

Are the bounce houses cleaned between rentals?

Yes — every inflatable is cleaned and sanitized before each rental, not just at the end of a busy weekend.

When do I pay, and what's the cancellation policy?

A deposit reserves your rentals for your date and is non-refundable, since it takes those units off the calendar. If you only paid a deposit, the remaining balance is due at setup by cash or check. Weather-related rescheduling options may be available with proper notice.
